People are commonly born with discoloured enamel – usually white spots, but it can be yellow/brown – just on the surface, like a coat of paint.  It’s normally genetics, but can be other things as well.  Micro-abrasion is the delicate removal of a VERY thin layer of discoloured enamel.  It’s completely painless and doesn’t weaken the teeth in the slightest.  It also makes them smoother and easier to clean.
